The Doulas of the Hudson Valley know that one of the responsibilities of a doula is to mother the mother. It means we help to support her, love her and care for her so she can focus on her baby. It helps her to transition into motherhood without feeling lost in the process. This giveaway is all about mothering the mother.

Unfortunately I don't get to do much for myself but I guess being able to read a book would be awesome!

I always make sure I have food that I like in the house. I sometimes get myself lunch, when I could I took the lunch by myself or just with my significant other. I take some time here and there through the day to stay connected with friends. I guess I consider my going to school and working things I do for myself lol but that's because it's just something I enjoy as it's my passion. (well school sometimes not so much) Take a nice hot shower by myself once in a while. Watch a movie during nap time once in a while, though I'm not sure how much that counts if you do laundry at the same time lol.
